Renowned GTV Journalist, Abdul Hayi Moomen, has said, Muslims in the Zongo communities must be guided by the Quran and seek for knowledge as it was the first thing Muslims were instructed to do even before praying.

Speaking at the Journalists Network for Peace community dialogue at Mamobi, he emphasized on the need not to engage in any political vigilantism, chaos or misunderstanding.

“Don’t allow yourselves to be used as tools for any Politician come December 7 elections. Knowledge is power, for if you have power you cannot be manipulated. As Muslims, we cannot afford not to be knowledgeable”

The maiden edition of the Journalist Network for Peace and Security took off on 12th September 2020 at Mamobi.

The program was dubbed “Violent Free Election the Key to National Development”. This was necessary because it is election year and people in the Ayawaso North Constituency needed to be sensitized on the need to say stay woke and not allow themselves be used for any violent activity for any political party.

Among the people that graced the occasion were news anchor, Ayisha Yakubu of TV3, Hon. Yussif Jajah (MP for Ayawaso North), aspiring MP for Ayawaso North on the tickets of the NPP, Alhaji Abdul Manaf.
