Incumbent member of parliament for Ayawaso North constituency, Yussif Jajah, said there has never been a case of violence in the Ayawaso North Constituency in 2016, so the constituency is not encountering any come December 7 2020 hopefully.
This he said at a community dialogue held by the Journalists Network for Peace and Security at Mamobi in front of the Marwako restaurant.
In attendance was his counterpart, Alhaji Manaf, aspiring MP on the touts of NPP and other dignitaries from the community.
The two preached on the need to stay together as one people devoid of partisanship.
“In politics, I have brothers who are NPP but after politics we are brothers,we live peacefully.
Politics will not make me fight Alhaji Manaf” Hon. Jajah said
When it was Alhaji Manaf’s turn for the microphone, he also iterated what Yussif Jajah said on the need to live peacefully even if party preferences are different.
“There is a reason for politics. Jajah and I aren’t enemies. We came to meet politics so will we go and leave it.
So don’t allow any politician to use you for any stupidity. Politics involves everything. Remember who you are wherever you are as a Muslim.
Let Islam guide your actions. I don’t attack personality in politics.
Let’s respect each other’s opinions.” he preached.
The occassion was chaired by Sarki Samari Alhaji Salisu Maude, Greater Accra Youth Chief.
