Spread the love

All they ever knew
Is the smile
I show
Even the demons
Too over my soul

They told me to be strong
They expected to be tough

So I downloaded this smile
Jumped into the metaphor

Personified my wish
Created an imaginative rope and held on tight

Hoping someday
Somewhere would see the real me.

Until then,
I am a downloaded smile
Hiding through metaphors
