Ghana’s Minister for Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh widely known as NAPO has been mentioned as the 2020 recipient of the Harvard Ministerial Medal of Achievement following his good work in Ghana’s education sector.
The Executive Director of the Harvard Ministerial Leadership Program, Michael R. Sinclair in a letter obtained by Georgeweb.org conveyed the congratulations of the Programme Team as well as the Advisory Board on Dr. Prempeh’s selection.
The Harvard Ministerial Leadership Program annually chooses one of its Alumni for special acknowledgment of stellar progress towards the achievement of important goals during their period of office.
Certain criteria include insightful leadership, clarity of purpose, consistent commitment to the goals, and positive benefits for citizens from the Minister’s efforts.
The Education Minister was appointed by President Akufo-Addo as Minister for Education in January 2017. Hon Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh is also the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South Constituency in Greater Kumasi.
