The Minister for Education and Member of Parliament for Manhyia Constituency, Hon. Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh has said Senior High School (SHS) understudies between the ages of 18 years or more will be approved to participate in the voters’ enlistment practice in their different schools.

The Member of Parliament unveiled this in a meeting with Kwame Sefa Kayi on PeaceFM’s Kokrokoo checked by websaet.com on June 4, 2020.

Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, when asked by have Kwame Sefa Kayi whether last year understudies will be permitted to participate in the Electoral Commission (EC) voters enlistment work out, replied: “according to course of action by the EC each Senior secondary school in the nation is an enrollment place thus so far as that is concerned each last year understudy who is 18 years old and qualified to be enrolled won’t be denied to do as such”.

“Since just SHS last year understudies will be in school during that period it will be the best and least demanding approach to distinguish understudies who are 18 years and the individuals who are not” NAPO included.

He encouraged that all the Senior secondary schools the nation over have the exact date of birth (DOB) of each last year understudy to demonstrate their qualification to be enrolled as a voter.
